W ith the rain gods showering their blessings upon us by turning the dry brownish barren land into a green moist carpet all around, every nook and corner looks absolutely breathtaking in this season, be it the plains or Satpura of Madhya Pradesh, hills of Northern India or the peninsular plateau.  One prominent geographical feature which stands out from the rest is the Western Ghats located on the West coast of India. Western ghats are the mountainous regions running parallel to West Coast from Gujarat till Kerala. Of the various mesmerising sections of Western Ghats one is the Sahyadaris ( located in Maharashtra). Amid raging pandemic haunting India and the world for past two years, economists and the whole of nation is eyeing on the 4 month long rainy period which commenced it's journey over the southernmost state of India a day back. Those hot sultry past months will soon be replaced by the moist drizzly pleasant for a few months. Rains rejuvenates the nation which are more important then ever in this year. India's 60% of the agriculture is dependent on monsoon rains along with it millions of rupees of industries that are dependent on farming activities are at the mercy of rain gods.  With the continuous downfall of economy due to covid, somehow if the rains will be normal and evenly distributed over the Indian mainland in the next 4 months it will be a huge blessing for the nation.
